Tyco is an angel who lived in the Aztec Civilization. He physically looks very much like Raf, but is seemingly unrelated to her beyond their shared destinies. Personality and Traits[]

Tyco is steadfast and persistent, stopping at nothing to defeat his equally determined adversary, Sai. Like Raf, he has a stubborn personality and a short temper, growing angry and attacking Sai when she proposed they stop fighting.

Like all angels, Tyco has an innate sense of responsibility to follow rules and guard terrestrials, as seen when he rejects Sai. Unlike Sai, Tyco was initially capable of denying his feelings toward his adversary. However, the love he feels for Sai is strong enough to overcome his convictions and like Raf, he ultimately gives in to his emotions.

Series[]

Seasons[]

Tyco first appears in the eight-episode of Angel’s Friends. Arkhan and Temptel go to the library archives to find out what would happen when an angel and a devil fell in love. Malachia, who was sent by Reina disguised as a librarian, hands them a book that tells the legend of the angel Tyco and the devil Sai. According to the legend, Tyco and Sai were enemies who fought constantly but were so evenly matched that neither could defeat the other. They eventually fell in love and kissed, committing a sacrilege that destroyed the civilization they lived in.

In episode thirteen, after Sulfus and Raf have fallen into a trap set by Reina in which they are transported to a mysterious location through the challenge room, they run into a labyrinth that contains frescoes depicting the story of Tyco and Sai. Raf notes that the Angel and Devil resemble herself and Sulfus, to which Sulfus disagrees and replies that only she resembles Tyco due to their similar hair color. The same murals reappear in episode fourteen.

In episode twenty-five, Raf and Sulfus fall into another one of Reina's trap; this time, the Orb of Destiny sends them back in time to a tropical rainforest in the Aztec civilization. Raf and Sulfus come across Tyco and Sai, who are both engaging in intense combat, though the ancient Angel and Devil are unable to see them. Sai asks Tyco how long does he intend to fight her, to which he replies that he will fight until he defeats her. Sai tells him that he will never triumph over her and admits that she will never defeat Tyco, making their struggle pointless. Tyco rebuffs Sai, telling her that they must fight each other because he is an angel and she a devil. Sai replies by telling him that they don’t have to fight if they don’t want to and that she knows that they both don’t want to continue fighting, which Tyco denies and interprets as Sai’s attempt to tempt him.

Tyco then uses Cuspus Wing against Sai, injuring her arm with one of his arrows, which he immediately regrets. When Tyco approaches her, Sai tells him that she is fine, but that her pain is elsewhere. Tyco asks her why she didn’t defend herself, to which Sai replies that she doesn’t want to fight him anymore. She tells him that he has the choice to end their fight, but Tyco insists that they must follow the rules of the universe. Sai decides that if she can’t convince him, she will simply avoid him and takes flight. Tyco calls after her, telling Said that she can’t escape their duty and follows after her.

As he chases after her, Sai tells Tyco to go away and leave her in peace, to which Tyco replies that she is a devil who doesn’t want peace and only wants to push the earthly ones down the wrong path if he wasn’t there to stop her. Sai accuses Tyco of only caring about the earthly ones and not their feelings or their attraction to one another. Tyco tells her that he wishes he could change things, prompting Sai to get away from him even faster.

Tyco and Sai land in the middle of the city, discovering that they have become visible to the terrestrials. Sai says that the reason they have become visible is that they are different from other angels and devils, transformed by their love for one another. Tyco denies it, however, and uses Cuspus Wing to attack Sai, but the arrows miss and fall around her. Sai tells Tyco that she knew he didn’t have it in him to harm her and he admits that he doesn’t want to fight her anymore. Tyco says that he won’t deny how he feels about Sai anymore and although they know that what they are doing is wrong, they break the V.E.T.O. and share a kiss.

In episode twenty-seven, Tyco and Sai’s kiss results in the first sacrilege. The earth begins to shake and the birds and terrestrials panic as the buildings begin to crumble. Tyco and Sai both realize that what they have done is sacrilegious. The earthquake destroys the city where they stood, collapsing into the gorge.

Movie[]

Appearance[]

Tyco has a strong muscular build, with pale skin and blue eyes. His hair is long and blonde, with a thin red streak across his front bangs. His hair is styled straight and loose on the back, with two curls hanging down the front.

His attire is inspired by the clothing worn by ancient Mayan priests, including an elaborate round collar, a skirt, and a pair of sandals. His predominant colors are light and navy blue, gold, yellow, white, and red. He also wears a pair of pale blue wristbands, gold armbands, and golden earrings with red gems. His wings and halo are a light blue color.

In the movie, Tyco sports messier hair and a short beard. His halo seems to be shattered in pieces and appear a dull blue color. He occasionally wears a white and gold cloak to cover himself.
