Synopsis[]
The angel and devil sides are giving their friends pep talks as they prepare for the final round of the Tournament of Light and Dark. Raf and Sulfus both feel the pressure to win so as not to lose one of their friends, but also can't stand the idea of causing pain to one another. They enter the field where the Orb of Destiny is to decide their arena, and prepare to do combat.
Using her power over the Orb, Reina sends the two to her chosen destination, then causes it to explode, sending Arkhan and Temptel flying while also trapping the chosen ones in an unknown location. The spirit students worry over their unconscious professors and (after a desperate cry from Gas) manage to awaken them. However, they have no clue what has become of their missing classmates. Though drained from what she's done, Reina gloats to Malachia that she's sent the couple to a different time period, 1000 years into the past.
Raf and Sulfus awaken inside a dense jungle, wondering what has become of them. They call out to the mysterious force that's been messing with their lives but when Reina doesn't answer, they decide to figure out where they are instead. Both are delighted that they no longer are required to fight and fly off to find answers. Back at the Golden School, the others continue to worry for them, though as Misha points out, they should be less concerned for their safety as for that they're alone and endangering all of creation if they became closer.
Raf and Sulfus are exploring their new surroundings, enchanted by the beautiful peace and falling more in love with each other. They come across an impressive ancient civilization, but before they can approach, they’re nearly knocked over by two unseen figures who fly past them and into the woods below. They follow.
At last they find the beings and are shocked to see they are an angel and devil that look very much like themselves. Malachia is also amazed by the similarities which Reina explains is a sign of destiny. These are the same angel and devil as seen in the Minotaur's Labyrinth and that Arkhan and Temptel read about in Reina's book; Tyco and Sai, the rivals who kissed and thus created a sacrilege that destroyed their civilization.
Reina, now sure her plan will succeed, tells Malachia to pack her bags as she will soon make her escape from Limbo once and for all.
