Synopsis[]
The day of the field trip is beginning but Raf is distracted by thoughts of when she left home, feeling the situation is similar. The humans board their travel bus (the driver of which is clearly Malachia) while the angels join the devils on their own transportation, the Auto-Sphere. Sulfus is sitting with Misha and isn't impressed when Gabi has saved Raf a seat beside him. Despite Gabi's attempts at friendly conversation, Raf is deep in her own thoughts, watching Sulfus in the window reflection.
Arkhan and Temptel are curious about the peacefulness of their bus trip, having expected the angels and devils to pick a fight with each other. They get their wish when a prank by Kabale and Cabiria sparks retaliation from Urie and Dolce in the form of a food fight in which Miki and Gas are quick to participate.
Down on the human bus, the same food fight is happening between the Bully Boyz and the Bad Girlz. Andrea is concerned about Ginevra's quickly failing health while the twins question Matteo on his refusal to interact with other students, despite how cool he seems to be. As they approach the caves, Malachia actives a secret function on the bus that puts the humans to sleep, allowing him to take the bus off road down a more dangerous path. He awakens them at the "Caves" and everyone is shocked by how frighten they look, except for the devils who are reminded of home.
Sulfus continues to shun all conversation, sparking a comment from Misha that angers him. Gabi points out this friction to Raf, suggesting they are "flirting" with each other. She angrily tells him to drop the subject. Urie's sixth-sense is worrying her over Ginevra and as Raf joins her in checking up on the humans, they find the girl unconscious with a high fever. She needs a doctor but Malachia has disappeared and left the bus stranded at the caves, unable to return to civilization. This news is taken back to the rest of the eternals, to which Cabiria defends her part in convincing Ginevra's actions as "her job". Regardless, she does care for the human and goes to stand guard over her with Urie. For the rest, since the humans will be exploring the caves to distract from the situation, they venture out to join them on the ground.
From her video screens in Limbo, Reina watches these events while Malachia calls in to give his report. Now that the humans and subsequently the immortals are trapped by the caves, they can move forward with their plan.
