The Path of Metamorphosis is a sacred location in which eternals like angels and devils can become humans in exchange of giving up eternal life.
Not much is known about the path, but consists of a long journey from its start to its end, scattered with many dangerous trials one must overcome. If ones reach the end successfully, they can become a human and live on Earth.
The entrance to the path lies in a cave underneath the Princess Theatre in Alpinville, as seen on Between Dream and Reality.
Though many eternals have walked the path before, no one has ever sucessfully made it to the end. There is an inscription over the door which warns others of the dangers.
The path is also the source of the Sigh of Deception.
