Synopsis[]
Malachia flies a plane over the Golden School, dropping flyers for a Mystery Halloween Party that has them all thinking up costumes to wear. This includes the angels who all but beg Arkhan to let them attend. He agrees that they should go to protect their humans; however, they insist that the point is to be in terrestrial form so that they can wear costumes and experience the same things as their humans. He's hesitant, but ultimately agrees to this, too. Temptel isn't so hesitant and gives her devils free rein to turn the party upside down, to their delight. While they debate costumes, Sulfus declares he has the perfect "revolting" costume in mind and refuses to share it until the party starts.
Dolce has no clue what she wants to dress as for the party, same for Urie and Miki. Raf has an idea, but as Urie says, she's keeping it a secret from her friends, which just worries Dolce more. Miki has an idea that they take hints from the costumes of their humans to inspire their own outfits, which the remaining angels are excited for.
Urie goes to see Ginevra and is shocked to find Cabiria already there, looking for a chance to have Ginevra do bad deeds. Ginevra is conversing with Andrea on the phone, trying to pick a costume. While her eternals are bickering unseen to her, the human draws inspiration from a poster in her room, a picture of a skull. Over at Edoardo's house, the boy has chosen to go as a vampire, to Kabale's delight. She gloats to Dolce that she's won Edoardo to her side and while Dolce reminds her that she lost the previous competition when Edoardo forgave Ginevra, Kabale continues that Edward isn't such a sweet boy and his costume choice proves it.
Reina, the hostess of the Mystery Party, is readying her home to receive the humans and eternals. As she declares to Malachia, tonight they will be truly splendid.
On the day of the party, Dolce still has no idea what to wear. She and Urie are both in a pinch as their humans' decisions to wear horrible costumes, those of a vampire and skeleton, reflects badly on them. Miki arrives in her ghost costume, a last minute idea, and helps to inspire her friends in their own not-monster costumes.
Outside the school, the angels-turned-terrestrials are delighted by their costume choices, Urie going as witch and Dolce as a pumpkin. The group is joined by their rivals, Cabiria a skeleton, Kabale a vampire, and Gas as Frankenstein's monster. The two groups mock one another while waiting for their missing members to arrive.
In his dorm, Sulfus puts the finishing touches on his costume and transforms into terrestrial form to meet his friends outside. To his delight, they are all shocked and horrified by his choice in costume: an angel boy. The real angels laugh at the ridiculousness of it until Raf also arrives, her being dressed as a devil to their own disbelief.
As all the guests, humans and spirits both, enter the grounds of the Mystery House Party, Reina waits in anticipation to begin.
