Synopsis[]
Given their challenge for Ghostville, Miki and Gas head inside of the Challenge Room and are faced with a giant, spooky house. They tease one another about being scared but when they try to enter the house, they get transported into a room of mirrors. Ghosts of their own reflections talk to the students, warning them to be careful and that the objective of the game is to "resist" the tricks of the house.
At the Golden School, the history lesson continues with what happened after the Comet of Fate passed. As it stood, the war had still not been decided so when the Comet of Fate arrived, it had erased neither angels nor devils. So a truce was declared.
Back in Ghostville, Miki is still trying to get Gas to admit he's scared. To prove her wrong, he starts poking at the creepy paintings around them, only to discover they are alive as a swarm of vampire bats starts chasing them. The door out is sealed shut and while Miki throws up her Wall Fly it won’t protect them for long. Gas gets an idea and, ordering her to plug her nose, unleashes his new Toxic Fly attack that defeats the bats. But the victory doesn’t last as the floor starts to crumble beneath them, sucking the house down into a sink hole. The eternals don’t have powerful enough wings to fight the suction but Miki's mascot, Lula, activities a new mascot power by growing huge. Miki uses this to ride out of the air current while Gas, turning to Croak who has no useful powers here, is drawn under. Miki has won, but Gas hasn’t given up on wanting Caterina to misbehave.
The devil students are not happy that the war ended in a gridlock and neither side disappeared. They also don't like the truce that sprang up, which Gnosis said was the same reaction of General Kubral. He and General Cassidy both opposed the ceasefire but the High and Low Spheres had made the choice, dismissing the generals and removing them from their armies. Thus the VETO was made, the only law that could prevent any further war. This rule was etched on a Libra, a balancing scale, forged from an indestructible material and hidden in a mysterious place out of reach from angels and devils.
Omnia declares the lesson over but her students still have questions regarding where the Libra was hidden and how to find it. The angelic teacher declares that the rest of the story will come over the course of the year and sends them on their way. The angels decide to go and give Miki a hand.
At the mall where Catarina has taken Milo, Miki explains the situations to them and that while Catarina's anger at her neglectful parents is understandable, she very well might retaliate with some irresponsible action. Even now she and her brother are buying tons of sweets which Miki calls a problem but Gas sees as perfectly normal, now backed by his devil friends. Urie snips about his weight and Cabiria tells her to "think for herself" but Raf interrupts the argument that the devils are intruding on Miki's move. Sulfus snips that Miki should hurry up and Raf calls the angels into a huddle, having to agree with Sulfus that they can’t keep stalling. Miki is at a loss until being inspired by Urie that she should distract the girl with something entertaining. She runs off to activate her metamorphosis.
Miki, now dressed as a magician, draws Caterina and Milo to watch her tricks, though Caterina isn't too excited. Miki dazzles them with her magic but insists she is still learning and will need practice in order to put on a proper show. She mentions that she also does house parties and offers to give them a free performance if they invite her over, secretly hoping to stop her from getting up to any wrong deeds.
But Gas butts in here, calling all this magic "baby stuff". Miki snaps at him to stay away from Catarina, which shocks the girl that she knows her name. While Miki tries to recover, Gas presses his influence that he organizes amazing parties and plays on Catarina's wish to seem grown up. It works and she invites him to her house to throw a party, sealing victory for Gas and a loss for Miki.
At Catarina's home, the party is in full swing as her other classmates plus the devil students are having a blast. Off to the side, Miki mopes to the other angels that she didn’t consider that Catarina wasn't a kid though also is not yet a woman. Raf declares she is merely a teenager in that confusing place in life where the head and the heart can't seem to agree. Her eyes are drawn to Sulfus while Blu, also hidden in the room, is watching her.
