Synopsis[]
The Halloween party at the Mystery House is in full swing with the humans all entertained by DJ Malachia and the wonderful refreshments. Out on the balcony, Raf and Sulfus are watching the moon and each other. They discuss his sadness and her previous declaration to break relationships between them following their last fight over Andrea. They tease each other for their costumes and he admits that he dressed as an angel with the hope it would make them a little less different from each other, though as she's now the exact opposite, it ruined his idea. She admits she had the same reason for her costume and while they confront the idea that they still have feelings for one another, they aren't certain if these feelings come from their own hearts or from the spell placed upon them. But regardless, being a couple is not a possibility for them and she implores him to give up on her and love a beautiful devil. He declares she is the only "beautiful devil" he sees, to her happiness.
They return to the party where Malachia directs the guests to the refreshments table they've been provided. Everyone declares how delicious the drinks are, not noticing that their host has left them, closing all the doors and windows. The other eternals greet their friends as they return, though are suspicious what they were discussing out on the balcony. The conversation turns to the DJ who, though the devil girls admire his dark aura, Urie finds something familiar in him.
It's at this point that the humans, who've been downing the punch in large quantities, begin to feel odd and all collapse on the floor in a deep sleep. The eternal are immediately on alert and Kabale confirms that the drinks contain sleeping potions. They try to find the hosts of the party but discover that they're locked in, resisted even in their eternal forms by a mysteriousl purple light. Recognizing it as the same light from the Caves of Obscurity, they realize that the party is a trap by Reina and look for another way out. A door mysteriously appears in the wall and with no other choice, they return to their eternal forms and journey inside.
It's a long hallway of portraits that seems to lead nowhere until they come across a mirror. Kabale picks a fight with Dolce over it and both are unexpectedly sucked inside, unable to be recovered. The group is forced to move on and find another entryway, this time to a kitchen. Gas is immediately drawn to the food and while Miki scolds him for his gluttony in the middle of a crisis, they are attacked by the flood of whipped cream which envelopes them both before vanishing through the floor. Two more are lost.
