Synopsis[]
Late in the night, Sulfus has read through the book from the library and found the right spell to break the enchantment on Basilisco. He sneaks out of the dorm and into the empty sports field, far enough away to go unnoticed. Basilisco, sensing his intentions, begins to hiss which Sulfus attributes to a warning signal. Far away, Blu picks up on this warning and flies to see who is trying to free Basilisco.
Holding tight to the rebellious reptile, Sulfus reads the incantation and with this spell, finally frees Basilisco from Blu's magical hypnosis. Relieved by the return of his mascot, Sulfus is ready to go warn Raf but is stopped by the arrival of Blu. Sulfus declares a refusal to go after Dolce and when Blu says he must protect Angelie, he declares he and Raf could save her if Blu would just keep quiet. She explain her stance in this mess, that she must ensure the Bosses' plans so she can receive what she needs from them. She tries to launch her Hypnotic Bite power at Sulfus, but he diverts his eyes and counters with his Fire Fly, taking her off guard. The fire balls wound her and, now angry, she uses her Shadow Bite to become intangible to the attacks, then heads right at Sulfus. He tries to flee but she sinks her fangs into his shoulder, overtaking him with a hypnotic poison that has him completely in her clutches.
Raf is shocked awake by the strong feeling Sulfus is in danger, but brushes it off as nerves from seeing him with Dolce in the library. She convinces herself it was all coincidence and that her friends would never betray her before falling back to sleep.
The next morning, the human students arrive to school with Giorgia trailing behind Alessandro and Liu. Terence and Scarlet are giving their classes a lesson in Instant Personification, changing between eternal and terrestrial form without a lengthy metamorphosis. Urie and Gas both do well, but Gas gets his clothing scrambled while Urie gets a hat stuck. Terrence declares this one of the risks of the skill, that things can be transferred between personas. Sometimes it's just clothing but other times it's thoughts or emotions. As angels, they should not let themselves be influenced by earthly passions and must be sure to leave all these emotions behind when they take their eternal forms. Dolce wonders if this is why she has issues ridding her mind of Alessandro. Raf misreads the distraction in her eyes and assumes she's thinking about Sulfus. She asks the other angel if she's troubled by something but Dolce is saved from answering by the ring of her Spy bell, rushing off to find Liu while Raf is now thoroughly suspicious.
In the courtyard, Liu bids goodbye to Alessandro just as Dolce and Kabale arrive to see what the problem is. Liu is approached by Giorgia who asks her if Alessandro has a girlfriend. Liu responds in the negative, secretly wishing she was such, which Dolce is also thinking to her continuous guilt. Giorgia is excited by the news and admits that she likes Alessandro, asking Liu to find out if the boy is likewise interested in her. Kabale gloats that while Alessandro does like Giorgia, Liu won’t reveal such a secret to which Dolce declares she'll convince the human to help her friends. Liu asks Giorgia for time to consider this request while the eternals head towards the Challenge Room.
Blu has brought the hypnotized Sulfus to the generals' lair, ordering him into a jail cell. Kubral takes a lock of the devil's hair before allowing Blue to break her spell. Sulfus finds himself imprisoned while his captors proclaim Blu told them his plans. Sulfus glares at Blu and she inwardly apologizes to him but that she has to do this for the sake of "her people".
