Synopsis[]

Sulfus confronts the visual of Raf and Terrence together, demanding he leave her alone. Dream-Terrence tells the devil he has no chance anyway, with the VETO in their way. Sulfus declares they can become humans and though the angel reminds him they'd need to pass the Path of Metamorphosis, Sulfus believes he and Raf could complete it together. At this point, Dream-Raf declares she wants no such thing, having changed her mind about loving him. Though initially shocked by this, Sulfus reminds himself this is all just a test and none of it is real. He confronts the challenge directly and Dream-Terence engages him in a fight.

In her own dream, Raf is rushing towards her former human home, eager to see her parents. She spies of visual of Angelie and a young Raf playing together on the lawn, while a storm cloud forms overhead. Raf recognizes the signs as the same day her mother was kidnapped, rushing over to warn the woman just as a mysterious force zaps her. Young Raf is knocked aside while Angelie is drawn up towards the clouds. Raf takes after her, using Speed Fly to try and locate where the force is coming from. But she is struck by a lightning bolt and as she crashes towards the ground, she sees her mother being carried off, unable to do anything to save her.

Sulfus begins his fight with Dream-Terrence who hits him with a Super-Kick Fly. The devil refuses to back down so the next attack is a Water Fly. Sulfus fights back with his own Fire Fly, vaporizing the stream of water and continuing to strike the illusion until it disappears. He's beaten his fears and won the challenge.

Sulfus is returned to the real Challenge Room where he sees Raf passed out on the floor. He tries to go to her, but the student awakens and warns him away from touching her as it would break the rules. He asks what happened to her and she explains her dream of her mother, unable to stop her being kidnapped. She likewise asks of his challenge and, lying to cover his true feelings, he declares it was merely a battle and he won it. Raf accepts that he gets the first move, but the war isn't over yet.

They go looking for their human who is on the Golden School basket ball team with others of his class., in the middle of a game. In the crowd, Personified Dolce and Kabale cheer for Alessandro, surprising Sulfus while Raf explains it's their Personification at work. He leaves to set up his move, followed Raf. Meanwhile, Liu confronts the strange "students" both for the obvious affection towards Alessandro and wearing her clothing. Kabale deflects the question by getting snappish with her, saying that Liu should tell the boy her feelings which makes her retreat. Dolce thinks this was too far and Kabale blames Liu for her weird feelings, though Dolce reminds her it is the Personification's fault.

Daniele makes the winning basket for the Golden School side and while Alessandro congratulates him, Mirko brings up the race to which Daniele declares he hasn't decided if he'll face him or not.

Later on, Daniele is at his home garage, looking over the car Mirko gave him which is a great vehicle, though in need of a tune up. Raf is watching him when Sulfus arrives, dressed as a mechanic. After being tripped up by Raf, he asks Daniele's opinion on fixing up mini cars and insinuates he can’t do it, playing on Daniele's pride and then his desire for nicer things than his family can afford. Daniele seems quite tempted, determined to prove to his classmates his skills with cars.

It's Raf's turn now and as she warns Cox, it's a risky plan, for which she will need his assistance. She transforms herself into a racer and, in her sports car, approaches Daniele to help with a problem. She drags him into the passenger seat insisting he can only hear the "strange noise" while she takes off down the road.

Raf speeds through town, cutting off drivers and plowing through an intersection (with help from Cox keeping everyone safe) all while Daniele sits terrified in the front seat. She admits that street racing is super dangerous, casually mentioning the crashes and injuries she's had from her own experience that further horrify the young mechanic. She finally pulls them over and Daniele asks why she streets races when she knows it's dangerous, to which she answers that she wants everyone to see her as the best. Daniele takes this lesson to heart and, getting out, makes the long, safe walk home.

Raf sits with the other angels in her dorm, recapping her actions and hoping Daniele makes the right choice. She asks Dolce about her Personification lesson and she explains how the experience made her feel everything that Liu felt, including her romantic attractions. But when asked if the feeling fades after the assignment, Dolce internally contemplates how she liked the human since she first saw him. Still, she declares all is fine and that love between eternals and mortals is impossible.

The next day, Raf and Sulfus join the human teens as they wait for Daniele, Mirko loudly declaring confidence he’ll win the race. Daniele pulls up in the mini car but to the surprise of all, he gives it over to Mirko, having repaired it for free but refusing to race him as it’s too dangerous and stupid a sport. Raf is delighted by her win, playfully gloating over Sulfus, who isn’t too broken up about it. As he flies off, he bumps into Blu, finally revealing herself and declaring "his bosses" want to see him. He rejects that either of them have bosses, which she happily agrees to, though internally regrets that he's in love with someone else, hinting her growing feelings for him.

Back to the bosses, they remark on Sulfus keeping away from Raf as "asked" to which he angrily declares it was all blackmail. But they present him a new idea: that he no longer must ignore Raf and can go back to dating her. Sulfus is immediately suspicious, as is Blu, but both Bosses brush away all objections. They are ordering Sulfus to court Raf.
