Enigma is a minor character introduced in the second season of Angel's Friends. She is a sphinx in the Challenge Room who demands that the challengers answer her questions truthfully or be blasted and lose the challenge.
Appearance[]
Enigma resembles the Great Sphinx of Giza.[1] She has the head of a woman, with grey skin, glowing white eyes, and pink lips. She wears an Egyptian sand-colored Nemes headdress and a turquoise postiche. Her tan body is that of a lion in a resting position.

Season 2[]
Enigma debuts in the fourth episode of the second season of Angel's Friends. When Urie and Cabiria enter the challenge room to decide who will have the first move with Sara J, the challenge room has decided for them "Enigma." The angel and devil find themselves in the midst of a sand storm in the desert, and Urie uses Meteor Fly to calm the storm. Cabiria uses Night Fly to illuminate the night sky and they both come across the sphinx. The sphinx greets them, saying "I am Enigma. I ask. You answer."
Enigma addresses Cabiria first, asking her "What are you?" to which Cabiria reacts confused. Enigma immediately shoots a laser beam at her and says, "I see the truth. Answer, and do not lie if you do not want to die." Cabiria ultimately responds with the correct answer. Enigma then turns to Urie and asks her the same question, to which Urie responds with the correct answer.
Enigma turns to Cabiria again and shoots another laser beam that creates holograms of her friends: Sulfus, Gas, and Kabale. She asks the devil to choose who she would throw off a tower, to which Cabiria answers truthfully. Enigma proceeds to ask Urie the same question and she nervously answered saying she'd refuse to throw any of her friends, prompting Enigma to shoot deadly laser beams at her. Urie evaded the beams using Flower Fly, but Enigma burned through the plant Urie had grown to shield her and asked the question again. This time, Urie gave the same answer but much more confidently, to Enigma's satisfaction.
Enigma then asked Cabiria the last question, "What do you really want?" which Cabiria answers honestly. She turns to Urie with the same question, but Urie lies, losing the challenge. Enigma strikes Urie with a laser beam and the angel and devil reappear in the challenge room.
