Synopsis[]
The eternals in human form continue to run through the Grand Bizare as two angry shop keepers chase after them. The angels correctly suspect the devils are at fault and ideas about transforming are rejected as there's nowhere to hide. Instead, they choose to split up, hoping to lose their pursuers in the big crowd. Raf slows down to help the fallen Dolce and now has the humans chasing her until they are tripped up by Sulfus. He offers her his hand and, though initially hesitant, she takes it and they escape together. Blu, tracking them while in her own disguise, has seen everything.
Ducking into another shop, the students put on local clothing to hide themselves and head off to find the rest of their class. Sulfus compliments Raf's appearance and she finally questions him on his odd behaviors, his previous coldness and now showing interest again, demanding to know why. He can’t answer her, unable to explain how he's been blackmailed. Blu takes this as a moment to launches her plan and rams into Sulfus, knocking him over while claiming it was an accident. She throws a hypnosis over him and, now in control, declares she will make up for the fumble by giving them both a gift, dragging a compliant Sulfus and hesitant Raf to a jewelry shop.
After checking that the real shop owner is still incapacitated, she offers the two any object in the store. Raf can't make a pick and Blu suggests she let "her boyfriend" choose, to which Raf rejects such a relationship. Nonetheless, Sulfus does ask if Blu has "anything special" and she offers the star-shaped pendant that Cassidy and Kubral provided. Delighted, Sulfus offers it to Raf as an apology gif and when she tries to reject, he makes her a deal: she can hold onto it and if she later decides not to wear it, she can give it back. She accepts the compromise while the two are finally found by their classmates.
Back on the bus, the students are exhausted by their human forms and settle in for a long rest as they head to their next location. Raf takes a moment to consider the pendent and as she's still not sure of Sulfus's motives, she stashes it in her bag.
Over at the Golden School, Blu makes her report to Cassidy and Kubral of Raf having taken the pendent but refusing to wear it. The generals are confident Raf will get past her mistrust of Sulfus and plan to launch the students in a battle against a common foe, as nothing unites people more than suffering together. Their enemy will be the generals themselves, in a new set of disguises so Sulfus won't suspect the trick. Blu is astounded.
The following day, the Auto-sphere has arrived to the final field trip destination, Rome, though the angels and devils continue bickering to the point of getting on Omnia's nerves. The group arrives to the Roman Colosseum where the teachers explain the great gladiator battles that took place, including fearsome warriors and wild animals. They ventured inside to take a look and while gazing over the arena, they are called out by two figures, the disguised generals.
They pick a fight with the interns, barring all exits to trap them and the uninvolved tourists. Gnosis and Omnia get the humans out of the way and, now unseen, the eternals return to their angelic and diabolic forms, ready to take on whatever their adversaries can throw at them.
